A shield-shaped bead in a base of transparent aqua. Transparent turquoise and aqua dichroic glass are melted in with Double Helix murrini, which are capped with clear and swirled.
Please bear in mind that these are shot indoors with a light box and flash. I try to portray the colors accurately, however, every monitor is different and may change the colors somewhat. Also, the photographs are greatly enlarged to show the details.

I create all of my work in a studio in South Central Virginia. Each bead is kiln annealed for strength and durability, then cleaned of residual bead release, before being sold as either focal beads, or sets, or incorporated into finished jewelry or gift items.
Lampworking, for me, is a fascinating art form. I love the whole process, from melting glass and manipulating the molten glass into the form I want, to the endless way of decorating the bead, whether with precious metals, enamels, etc. The possibilities are only limited by my imagination.
Thanks for looking, and supporting handmade work, made in the USA, and local artisans!
