No special tools are required, and this tutorial uses glass from several manufacturers: ASK, Creation is Messy, Effetre (Moretti), Reichenbach, and Vetrofond. With a list of over 50 glass colors that work with this technique, you probably already have many of the colors that vein in your inventory. Although I haven't tested all the available glass colors, I tell you how to identify colors that have good veining potential.

This tutorial is designed for all levels of lampworkers, from a beginner who is familiar with all aspects of torch working glass safely in an open flame, to the advanced lampworker.
