I’m very excited to share my passion with you, hand crafted Lampwork beads and jewelry! My beads are made with love in my home studio and annealed flame to kiln in a digital controlled kiln and cleaned of all bead release.
I had my first class in lampworking after buying a heart necklace at an art fair in 2014 from Carolyn Crystal. When she said she’d be doing a demonstration at another sale in Hood River, Oregon, I couldn’t wait to see. As I watched her I just knew I could do this and I was determined to learn this art. The love of my life surprised me with a studio she created for my 65th birthday after frisking all our friends for donations! I’ve been mesmerized ever since. I revel in that flow where I am just inspiration, fire, glass and color. I love to see each bead born from the flame and my grateful heart.
I met another lampworker, Juliette Mullett from England. She has been a great cheerleader for me and has been ever ready to answer questions about technique, glass types and color needs. And a big bonus is that through a collaborative effort she created my beautiful Flame Born Bead Design logo. Isn’t she a fantastic artist!
